Post subject:  Hackintosh G5 Project for 2017

Having a spare PowerMac G5 at my disposal and a project Iv'e been pondering on for a couple years I have decided 2017 is the year to build a Hackintosh G5. Having never built a Hackintosh before I am expecting quite a challenge not least the PowerMac G5 casing is going to need a considerable amount of modification.
Fortunately tonymac goes some of the way to easing the pain of cutting in to that wonderful G5 case with a tutorial ... od.164113/

Carefully selecting Hardware with a ASRock ATX Motherboard I shall be aiming for an Intel i7 (Kaby Lake) CPU, 16Gb RAM, 2GB Nvidia Graphics, 512GB SSD and 2TB 7200rpm HDD.

All USB ports (including those on the front) will be upgraded to USB 3.0 which will be increased to 8 and I will be looking in to the possibility of two Thunderbolt ports.

macOS Sierra will be installed using Multibeast which I understand will assist with the kexts.

I aim to achieve all this with minimal changes to the appearance of the G5 case.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be most appreciated and of course there will be progress updates.
