Topic review - iLok and VSTs on Linux (not possible)

Pace (the makers of iLok) have not created a Linux variant of the iLok manager, and will not due to lack of interest on the platform:
https://www.ilok.com/#!license-manager

Therefore running a DAW with WINE can only go so far, because your VSTs won't be able to license properly without it. So, you're stuck with OS X or Windows. If VSTs are not important to you (which, would be pretty incredible in this day and age) then there won't be an issue for you running your DAW in Linux.

Right now would be a good time for DAW users to switch to Windows 8 for as long as they can if they're looking to avoid Windows 10.
